The C. Krishniah Chetty Foundation (CKCF) is a registered not-for-profit charitable trust under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961. It is formed as an extension of our enduring legacy of social responsibility and community enrichment.
Rooted in our 155-year heritage of craftsmanship and conscience, the Foundation was instituted with a singular vision: to nurture talent, empower futures, and uphold the art and artistry of the jewellery world.
Over 3,000 secondary school students have been supported through our educational initiatives, with a focused commitment to empowering the girl child and shaping a brighter, more equitable future for her.
While many speak of traffic woes, few rise to the occasion.
At C. Krishniah Chetty, 28 dedicated team members including 5 women and our Managing Director and Director have stepped forward as volunteer traffic wardens, partnering with the city to ensure smoother and safer commutes for the citizens of Bengaluru.
A dedicated vocational training institute has been established to offer structured, hands-on training to goldsmiths, artisans, and aspiring jewellers enabling them with dignified employment and a pathway to excellence in the jewellery sector.
Our focus lies in practical, immersive training guided by master artisans and industry professionals across short-term programs designed specifically for the jewellery industry. The training modules include:
Our trainers are certified under Central Government Sector Skill Development Programs and by institutions accredited by the Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI).
We also host "Train the Trainer" initiatives to cultivate a new generation of skilled educators within the trade.
Programs range from one-day workshops to comprehensive vocational courses spanning several months, tailored to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
To date, over 130 individuals have successfully completed these training programs and have been awarded certificates of participation a testament to their dedication and the Foundations enduring impact.
